Chamber and Economic Development Council Announce New Position
The Hopkinsville-Christian County Economic Development Council (EDC) Director Lee Conrad and Chamber President/CEO Carter Hendricks announced today that the EDC and Chamber have partnered to create a new position that will work in conjunction with both organizations, the Research and Project Coordinator.
After a search process, the Chamber and EDC hired Ms. Jennifer Martin, a Christian County native, to serve as the Research and Project Coordinator serving the EDC in their continued industrial recruitment efforts and the Chamber's growing business and retail development efforts.
Ms. Martin assumed her responsibilities on June 28, 2010. Ms. Martin offered, "I am excited to serve as a member of the ECD and Chamber teams. I look forward to contributing to lasting growth in our community by supporting the development of local industry, businesses and retailers." Ms. Martin is a recent graduate from the University of Kentucky with a Graduate degree from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce with an emphasis on development.
