Job Description: Equine Assisted Transitions, Inc. has a unique internship available for an individual interested in gaining experience and/or school credit working on a horse farm and assisting a therapist/therapeutic riding instructor with horse care and training as well as helping riders of all ages, some with special needs. The ideal candidate must be energetic, willing to work outside in summer heat conditions, have a positive attitude and demonstrate a helpful, hopeful approach with young riders and their families. Previous horse experience not mandatory, but helpful. Possibility for riding lessons or partial horse lease in exchange for work - after completing 20 hours internship/training.

Hopkinsville Mayor Dan Kemp invites members of classes 2013 and 2014 to apply for the seventh session of the Summer in the City Internship Program. Held May 28 – June 14, the internship features a $500 stipend and a letter of recommendation for interns who successfully complete the three-week program. Summer in the City is an initiative Mayor Kemp launched during his first year in office in cooperation with local high schools. During the program, interns are offered the opportunity to work various facets of municipal government while also receiving valuable workplace readiness and other skills.
Up to four interns will be selected to participate. To be program eligible, applicants must be high school juniors or seniors at the time of selection, Christian County residents, and 16 years old by June 1, 2013. Completed application packages must be received no later than April 26, 2013, at the City of Hopkinsville, Mayor’s Office, Attention: Summer in the City Internship Program, P.O.
